Concerning environmental protection in 2007
Fraikin has gone beyond the requirements of the existing Euro IV standard. The Group now has vehicles that comply with the Euro V standard, which is scheduled to come into force on 1 October 2009.
We should draw attention to the considerable efforts made by engine specialists to develop technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Euro IV and V standards.
This directive will apply to vehicles sold from 26 January 2007. There will be no retroactive effect.

We fully support the IV and V standards because they make a major technological leap in environmental protection, a fact that is not widely known by the general public. For example: a 40 T tractor with annual mileage of 120,000 km, complying with the Euro V standard, will produce 35 kg of particulates less than the same vehicle complying with the Euro IV standard. At the same time, nitrogen oxide emissions are cut by 30%.
